The more specific area of Hamilton Centre that includes downtown Hamilton had a slightly lower average price of about $380,000. The area has a mix of apartment-style condos, detached and semi-detached homes, commercial listings, and rental options. The most common type of property in the downtown core is high-rise buildings. The majority of downtown residents rent their property rather than owning it, so there is potential for multi-family properties or homes with income suites.
