Real Estate for Sale in Jarvis, Ontario
Haldimand County occupies more than 1,250 square kilometres on the northern shore of Lake Erie. Municipal restructuring caused the previous county of Haldimand-Norfolk to separate, dissolve, and reform into Haldimand County and Norfolk County respectively. Though it kept its county name, the entirety of Haldimand County is considered to be a city and each former village or township within it is a community. Jarvis is a small community on the west end of Haldimand County and its nearest neighbours are Hagersville, Caledonia, Port Dover, and Cayuga.
As a smaller, more rural area, Haldimand County is not as densely populated as nearby Hamilton and Brantford. The real estate market is slower as well, with less market activity because of a smaller inventory. That being said, Haldimand County is, on average, a lot more affordable than the Greater Hamilton area which had an average of about $535,000 for the 2019 year. In comparison, Haldimand County’s average came in lower at $465,000. Many of the listings in Jarvis are for country homes, but for such a small pool there are a good variety of options between bungalows, multiple-family, and condominium units listed.
