 Collingwood is a part of Simcoe County, located about 150km North of Toronto. The town is home to 21,793 people which makes up only 5% of the total population of the county. The region of the Georgian Bay containing Collingwood has seen a steady increase in units listed and sales from 2018 to 2019. Compared to other areas in Southern Ontario, overall real estate activity is lower with homes being listed less frequently, but staying on the market for less time as they are quickly snatched up when they do become available.

Elementary students might attend Admiral Collingwood Elementary School, Mountain View Elementary School, Connaught Public School, St. Mary’s Catholic School, or Cameron Street Public School. Secondary Students attend either the Collingwood Collegiate Institute or Jean Vanier Catholic High School. Outside of the above boards, Collingwood also has a couple of private schools as well. 

Recreation in Collingwood takes advantage of the town’s fantastic natural surroundings. Summers in Collingwood open the waters of the Georgian Bay up to residents and tourists to enjoy self-guided water sports like swimming, kayaking, boating, and fishing or tours over the water on charter boats. For those who want to enjoy the green scenery around Collingwood, there are plenty of golf courses, hiking trails, cycling trails, and ATV parks. In the Winter, many of the outdoor parks in Collingwood allow cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. In addition, the neighbouring Blue Mountain Village and Resort offers four-season activities like trails, beaches, golf courses, and a ski hill in the winter with 365 acres of slopes, trails, and parks.
