The municipality of Chatham-Kent is serviced by the Lambton-Kent District School Board (LKDSB), the St. Clair Catholic District Board, the Conseil scolaire catholique Providence, and six other private boards. The LKDSB has eight elementary schools and two secondary schools in Chatham while the Catholic board has six elementary schools and one secondary option in the city. The French-Catholic Board has a few elementary school offerings in the municipality as well.
Attractions in Chatham include the Chatham Capitol Theatre, the Cascades Casino, and the John D. Bradley Convention Centre. The Chatham Capitol Theatre offers lounges and movie showings in addition to their impressive line-up of live events ranging from concerts, musicals, comedy shows, and children’s entertainment like Sesame Street Live! Now in an official partnership with the NFL, the Cascades Casino in Chatham offers tables, games, and a buffet for a more mature crowd. The Convention Centre holds ceremonies, banquet events, product shows, and other community events on the renovated site of the locally famous, former Wheels Inn. If you are a fan of vintage vehicles, the annual Retrofest held in downtown Chatham is also a must-see Summer event.
