Angus, Ontario Overview
Angus, Ontario, is located in the Essa Township just southwest of Barrie and 100 kilometres north of Toronto. Essa Township consists of Angus, Baxter, and Thronton in addition to some smaller communities. Angus is famous for having Canada’s largest Canadian Forces training base, CFB Borden, right beside it.
Primarily, Angus is an agricultural area that also serves the training base. It is also host to a decent amount of manufacturing plants. However, many who live there commute to Toronto or Barrie for work. Therefore, houses for sale in Angus tend to price its use as a commuting community in mind. The beautiful rural scenery mixed with many business opportunities have led to its motto, “where town and country meet.”
